Installation & Care Guide
Installation & Care Guide
Your Haus of Marble bathtub or furniture is crafted from refined stone - a material designed to capture the beauty of natural marble while being lighter, stronger, and more practical for modern living. With the right preparation, installation, and care, your product will remain a centrepiece of your home for decades.
1. Pre-Delivery Preparation
Before your delivery date, please ensure your property is ready to receive your new piece. Measure access points carefully, including doorways, stairwells, and hallways, to confirm that the item can be manoeuvred into position. These products are substantial in size and weight, so accuracy is essential.
Verify that your floor can safely support the product, which typically weighs between 300–500 kilograms. If in doubt, consult a structural engineer. Prepare a clear route from the kerbside to the installation area and protect floors and walls where necessary.
You should also arrange a professional installation team with the proper equipment, such as forklifts, lifting straps, or dollies. Our products must not be handled without appropriate support.
2. Delivery and Installation
Delivery is kerbside or ground floor only unless a white-glove service has been arranged in advance. A responsible adult must be present to sign for delivery and inspect the goods. Any damage must be reported within forty-eight hours, accompanied by photographs. Please do not attempt to install or use a product that arrives damaged.
Installation must be carried out by qualified professionals. Plumbing connections may require adjustments on-site; this is normal and not a defect of the product. We cannot accept responsibility for plumbing compatibility or installation issues.
3. Care and Maintenance
Each product is sealed before dispatch. To preserve the surface, resealing is recommended every twelve to eighteen months, or sooner for high-use bathrooms.
Daily care is simple: wipe the surface after each use with a soft cloth and warm water, ensuring that standing water is not left on the surface. Weekly cleaning should be done with a pH-neutral cleaner designed for stone finishes, followed by thorough drying.
Certain substances should never be used, as they will damage the refined stone surface. Do not use acidic cleaners such as vinegar or lemon juice, bleach or ammonia, abrasive powders or pads, limescale removers, or bathroom sprays not labelled safe for stone.
To protect your piece, ensure good ventilation in your bathroom to prevent mould growth, and avoid leaving metal objects such as cans or razors directly on the surface, as they may cause rust stains. For furniture items, always use coasters.
4. Repairs and Long-Term Care
Minor chips or scratches can often be repaired by a professional stone restoration service. Contact us for guidance before attempting any repairs yourself.
With proper care and maintenance, your refined stone product will remain beautiful for decades. Over time, it may develop a soft patina, which is a natural characteristic of the material and part of its unique charm.
